Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of leadership style, work discipline and work motivation on employee performance at Bank BNI Syariah in Medan. This type of research is quantitative research and uses primary data and secondary data, data collection techniques used in this study using questionnaires, interviews and literature studies, this research population is all employees at Bank BNI Syariah, Medan City. The sample used in this study is a saturated sample by making all employees of Bank BNI Syariah Medan City, amounting to 40 respondents. Data analysis using multiple linear regression. All data were processed and analyzed using SPSS version 16.00. The results of the study processed with SPSS version 16.00 showed that the R square value was 0.560 or 56%. This means that 56% of performance variations can be explained by variations in the three independent variables namely leadership style, work discipline and work motivation. while the rest (100% - 56% = 44%) is explained by causes outside the model. The results of the study (T Test) stated that the leadership style had a negative effect and significantly did not affect the performance of employees at Bank BNI Syariah, Medan City. Whereas the work discipline and work motivation variables have a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees at Bank BNI Syariah, Medan City. Results (Test F) with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 indicate that leadership style, work discipline and work motivation simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at Bank BNI Syariah, Medan City.
